Technical Diploma Courses

a) The Minimum Entry Requirements are:

  • Pass in relevant Craft Course, or;
  • OKCSE Mean Grade C- (Minus), or;
  • Equivalent qualification approved by KNEC.

b)  These are modular programs, which offer flexibility to candidates. Diploma programs comprise of three modules with KNEC examinations at     the end of each module.

c) The Duration for the course is three (3) years covered in three modules including compulsory industrial attachment.

The above at Diploma and Certificate in food processing course will adequately equip trainees in:

  • Dairy products processing technology-pasteurized milk,yogurt,butter,cheese, ice cream
  • Soft drinks and beer making technology as well as Tea and Coffee processing technology
  • Meat processing-making of sausages, beacon and other meat products.
  • Fruits , sugar, vegetable processing fats, oil refining
  • Cereal technology (Baking and pastry)

 

The main intake for three year and two year courses are in May and September intake of every year. Short courses are admitted on monthly basis.

www.laritvc.ac.ke filled forms and the required attachments can be submitted to college for issuance of admission letter upon payment of the required application fees.

FEES AND PAYMENT PROCEDURES

 The college fees per module is Shs.56,420.00 excluding course examination fees.

  • Government Capitation Shs. 30,000.00 students must ensure that application details are through KUCCPS
  • HELB/Parent/Guardian Shs.26,420.00 Student to apply for loan through Higher Education Loans Board or the fees is paid by the parent or Guardian.
  • Examination/assessment fees varies depending on the course registered.

Other levies on admission per module : Caution money Shs. 1000(refundable),Registration and Student Identity Card shs. 1000
